Amar Akbar Anthony (Tamil)

A couple loses their three sons, who are adopted by people from different religions. A Hindu policeman takes one under his wing and names him Amar (Vinod Khanna); a Muslim tailor brings up Akbar (Rishi Kapoor) as his own, and a Christian priest adopts the third, Anthony (Amitabh Bachchan). The three boys grow up following the faiths of their respective families. Amar finds love in Lakshmi (Shabana Azmi), Akbar meets Dr. Salma Taiyyab Ali (Neetu Singh), and Anthony falls for Jenny (Parveen Babi). With hilarious events and musical extravaganza, the story progresses as the brothers unite to take revenge against the villains who were responsible for the family’s split.
