Age Ratings : All Ages A small state ruled by a king and his council of ministers and the village barber Baburao, smart, down to earth and capable of teaching any one a lesson. The king feels hemmed in by his domineering Chief Minister, who wants his sister to marry the king, further tightening his control over the kingdom. The king actually loves Neera a scholarly young woman, but his Chief Minister keeps interfering in his love life. He quietly slips away one day, and walks into a barbershop to have his beard shaved off. And there he meets none other than Baburao, who looks very much like him. He persuades Baburao to take his place in the palace. Baburao the barber, now the king works his wisdom and smarts to set things right.
