A simple girl, Jyoti (Tina Munim) and a former jockey, Vishal (Rajesh Khanna) fall in love. Belonging to different social stratum, they face staunch opposition from their families, but love triumphs and they get married. However, misunderstandings begin to creep into their married life, and constant clashes lead the couple to split up. Their son grows up with Vishal, believing his mother has passed away. But Jyoti reenters their life and is introduced to him as his ‘aunt’. Will the couple ever set aside their differences and make up for the sake of their son?
